What Do LTC Pharmacy Operations Look Like in Your State?

SCPC’s mission is advocating on behalf of America’s long-term care (LTC) pharmacies and the patients they serve in nursing home, assisted living and other facilities across the country. That begins by helping elected officials, government leaders, the media and others understand the unique role LTC pharmacies play in our healthcare system, the vulnerable populations they serve, and where they provide their essential services.

While there are only about 1,200 individual LTC pharmacies across the country, their locations and services are essential to the daily care needs of more than two million seniors and other patients.

SCPC created this special mapping tool to share the breadth of LTC pharmacy operations and locations in all 50 states. By using the dashboard below, you can easily build state-specific maps and information sheets showcasing the LTC pharmacy footprint in individual states.

Why is This Information So Important?

There is no substitute for the essential and legally required services LTC pharmacies provide. And without LTC pharmacies, nursing homes and other long-term care facilities cannot operate and serve the vulnerable seniors and other patients who depend on them every day.

We hope this interactive tool will help provide a broader understanding of the importance of LTC pharmacies to our nation and communities across the country.
