    Senior Care Pharmacy Coalition: Passing HR 5031 Vital for Seniors’ Medication Access

    The American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL), LeadingAge, and Argentum joined the Senior Care Pharmacy Coalition (SCPC) in calling for Congress to pass the Preserving Patient Access to Long-Term Care Pharmacies Act (HR5031), according to a news release.

    America’s leading long-term care voices are unified in their call for urgent action to avert a looming crisis that could impact access to care for millions of seniors across the country.     House Lawmakers Push Bipartisan IRA Fix To Boost LTC Pharmacy Pay

    A bipartisan group of House lawmakers introduced legislation aimed at ensuring long-term care (LTC) pharmacies are paid an adequate supply fee to maintain patient access to prescription drugs for which prices are lowered through the Medicare drug price negotiation program, with the new maximum fair prices (MFPs) for the first group of selected drugs to take effect at the start of 2026.
